Description
The Plough Inn in Christleton, near Chester, is a wonderful place for vegetarians and vegans. Their main menu changes regularly, but there are always a couple of veggie options and a vegan one. If you are planning on a meal out there for a group of veggies, it is best to give a few days' notice as the chef will go to great lengths to provide exciting and delicious veggie options. Vegetables are grown on site or locally, and all the dishes I have seen on offer here have been delicious and inventive - non of the dull pre-prepared cheesy nonsense many restaurants offer for veggies! It is no wonder that this restaurant has won "Gastropub of the Year" two years running. Children/dogs also welcome :)

"Is this still the case? I am aware that The Plough Inn changed hands within the last year or so. Are the new owners veggie/vegan friendly? Jacky"

" This is the best place I have ever been out to for a veggie meal. We went for a veggie/vegan meal out in a group (giving advanced notice) and the most wonderful selection of dishes were prepared freshly for us. Not your usual meals - this was inventive, delicious and reasonably priced. Everyone was really impressed, and I'd reccommend this place to anyone wanting a veggie meal out. The Plough surpasses even vegetarian-only restaurants! I will definitely be visiting again. "
